The MOST is designed to measure your ability to handle a motorcycle, including starting, accelerating, turning and braking. The test forms part of the Pre-Provisional Rider Training course with the MOST component being used to assess older riders as well as International Licence Conversions.
This is a re-test* only after a failed Pre-Provisional MOST OR for International Licence Conversion OR Aged Rider Assessment.
If you are wanting to upgrade from a NSW Learner Licence to a Provisional Licence, you must book the 'TfNSW Pre-Provisional Training Course'. If you are unsure whether you are eligible to book a MOST Only or seek further information, please contact Service NSW on 13 77 88.
Unfortunately, this test does not require any practise time. If you require practise before the test, please select - Skills Practise & MOST which will give you a 1 hour practise session prior to your test.
*Please call our reception team to book your Re-Test or International Licence Conversion test.
How the test works
The MOST consists of 8 test segments, all of which are not dangerous or difficult for skilled riders.
When you’re on the test course, you will be given specific instructions for each test. Points are accrued for errors, such as touching painted lines, putting your foot down on the ground during an activity, hitting cones, stalling the engine of your motorcycle or failing to conduct a head check before moving away.
To pass, you need to score 8 points or less and you must complete all the test segments.
