Progress your skills and take the next step in your riding journey with the RoadTech 2 – Urban Skills and P’s Prep. This course is designed to be taken after RoadTech 1
HART’s RoadTech 2-Urban Skills and Ps Prep is the next step on your journey after RoadTech 1-Confidence & Riding Skills. This course will help to take your slow control, hill-starts, braking and cornering skills to a higher level and will help to prepare you for your Pre-Provisional day and MOST (Motorcycle Operator Skills Test)
On the day
RoadTech 2 is a 3.5 hour course, focusing on:
Advanced slow control for traffic, hills, carparks and roundabouts
Real-speed cornering with technique and style
Braking from 40/50/60 kph
MOST preparation including Cone Weave, U-turn, Left turn and Quick Stop
RoadCraft: Observation, Slow Down/Set Up and Buffer (for junctions, side streets and parked vehicles)
HART recommend bringing your own motorcycle if possible, with your approved helmet, gloves and eye protection, however the use of our training bike, helmet and gloves is included free of charge in the course should you require it
Requirements
You must have a valid motorcycle licence or learner permit.
Cancelling or changing bookings
Five working days’ notice is required to change all bookings, and a 10% administration fee will apply with no refunds available for the following situations:
Lateness in attending the course
Proof of identity issues
Delays caused by traffic or motor vehicle incidents
Bad weather conditions
Failure to attend your course or remedial lesson
Incorrect attire (long pants, long sleeves & closed in shoes required)
What to bring
Photo proof of your identity
You must wear full skin coverage clothing. No shorts, three-quarter pants, torn or ripped jeans, or short sleeved shirts will be allowed
You should wear jeans, or other full-length sturdy pants
Boots or sturdy shoes and your ankles must be covered
HART courses run regardless of the weather, however if there is an extreme weather condition we will make a safety judgement on the day.
Do I need my own motorcycle?
Not necessarily. If you have your own bike and are happy to ride it to HART that’s great. If not the price includes the use of your choice of either manual or automatic motorcycle
Do I need my own helmet and gloves etc?
Preferably but if you do not yet have them HART will provide a helmet and gloves. You should wear full skin covering, weather appropriate sturdy clothes.
