Improve your competencies with practical riding skills for everyday riding. This course is a great way to refine your skills or practise whilst on your P’s
This half day course is designed to improve your confidence and concentrate on practical riding skills that you can apply to everyday riding, whether you are a commuter, or spend your spare time searching for the best ‘twisties’.
On the Day
Starting off with a bike safety check, followed by an introduction to advanced riding posture, RoadTech 3 work through a series of activities specifically designed to improve your motorcycle handling skills. Such as:
Counter-steering
Braking
Corner approach
Develop your physical riding skills on our private road circuit
Correct riding posture to increase control
Refine your eye direction and throttle control
Practice low-speed manoeuvring
Half-day course (approx. 3.5 hours), morning or afternoon start
Requirements
You must have a valid motorcycle licence or pre-provisional licence
A roadworthy motorcycle and appropriate riding gear
Cancelling or changing bookings
Five working days’ notice is required to change all bookings, and a 10% administration fee will apply with no refunds available for the following situations
Lateness in attending the course
Proof of identity issues
Delays caused by traffic or motor vehicle incidents
Bad weather conditions
Failure to attend your course or remedial lesson
Incorrect attire (long pants, long sleeves & closed in shoes required)
Do I need to bring a bike?
Photo proof of your identity
You must wear full skin coverage clothing. No shorts, three-quarter pants, torn or ripped jeans, or short sleeved shirts will be allowed
You should wear jeans, or other full-length sturdy pants
Boots or sturdy shoes and your ankles must be covered
A sturdy long sleeved shirt or jacket. Consider the weather conditions, as a thick jacket may not be suitable on a hot day
Not necessarily. If you have your own bike and are happy to ride it to HART that’s great. If not the price includes the use of your choice of either manual or automatic motorcycle.
What do we do if it is raining on the day?
HART courses run regardless of the weather, however if there is an extreme weather condition we will make a safety judgement on the day./p>
Do I need my own helmet and gloves etc?
Preferably but if you do not yet have them HART will provide a helmet and gloves. You should wear full skin covering, weather appropriate sturdy clothes.
