Safer Drivers Course

The Safer Drivers Course is designed to work in conjunction with the current NSW learner driver logbook system. The Transport for NSW course is designed to establish safer driving practices for learner drivers under the age of 25, who are statistically most at risk of a fatal accident once they get their provisional licence. The course is educational, enjoyable and will help you develop safe driving practices that will go beyond your licence test.

Get a bonus 20 logbook hours on completion

In addition to a Learners Licence, Learner drivers must have completed at least 50 logbook hours of driving to attend the Safer Drivers Course. These hours cannot include those accrued through the through the 3 for 1 professional instruction.

The Safer Drivers Course involves two modules:.

Module 1:

• A three-hour facilitated group discussion, of up to 12 participants, on how to manage risks on the road

Module 2:

• A two-hour in-vehicle coaching session with a coach and another learner to develop low-risk driving strategies. This involves two participants and a coach and can only be completed once Module 1 has been completed

Five working days’ notice is required to change all bookings, and a 10% administration fee will apply with no refunds available for the following situations

• Lateness in attending the course
• Proof of identity issues
• Failure to attend your course
• Insufficient logbook hours on the day
