The Pre leaerner course is for those who wish to obtain their learner licence to ride a motorcycle or scooter on the road.

About the course

• The pre-learner course is designed for people with no motorcycle riding experience.

Booking the course

• To book goto an RTA branch, call the RTA customer service number on 13 22 13 or visit the myRTA website.

Course specifics

• There are five people per class and the course is designed for absolute beginners with no previous riding experience.
• The course is a pass/fail criteria and you must achieve all competencies to pass.
• If the instructor stops you for safety reasons you will be entitled to one on one tuition.

COURSE SPECIFICS

• Call the RTA customer service number on 13 22 13 to book in your Pre Learner at HART St Ives.
• The course is 2 consecutive days of 3.5 hours which includes the Motorcycle, helmet, gloves and the tuition.You will need to have full skin coverage and closed in shoes.
• Once you have passed the Pre Learner you will need to go to the RTA to complete a rider knowledge test and pay a licence fee.
• You will then have a Learner Motorcycle licence which is valid for 12 months.
• After 3 months you are entitled to book your Pre Provisional Course through the RTA on 13 22 13.
• If you would like practice before the Pre Provisional course we carry out one on one Private Lessons during the week or a Post Learner course which is run on selected weekends here at HART St Ives (02) 9144 5725.

OPERATING HOURS

• 7am-10.30am 9am-12.30am 11am-2.30pm 1.30pm-5.00pm You will need to check for availability with the RTA on 13 22 13.
